Low Impact Exercise to Treat Knee Osteoarthritis

December 5, 2010

Low Impact Exercise

What is low impact exercise?  It is a gentle form of exercise that places minimal stress on your knees and joints.  As long as you keep one foot on the ground during your work-out you will be exercising in a low impact manner.  Low impact exercise can help you lose weight which will make your arthritic knees feel better.

Exercise is an important treatment option to help ease the pain associated with your osteoarthritis of the knee.  Low impact exercise does not stress your joints and will help your heart, your waist line, your flexibility, your strength, and also help lubricate your knees.

This series of posts will show you some exercises to get you up and moving.
